JV's was a very cool location to investigate. The layout was unique. It was built as a brewery in the 1800's so the basement was almost medieval looking. There were not allot of claims out of the place. But it did not matter, we had been to places without claims and come out with great evidence. Shane, Adam and nelson were sitting at table 13. This is a spot where one of the employees had seen an apparition sitting. We had the usual emf fluctuation that can be associated with a place that has that much electricity surging through it. It was also well lit even with all of the lights off. Nelson saw a large shadow move across the room that blocked out everything that it passed. We went to see if ther was a way that someone could cast a shadow from the outside. No, they would have to be elevated to even come close. Down in the basement, Kim, Rob and Steve were on the second level. The basement has three levels. The second is the largest with a huge room at one end and a smaller room at the other. They were hearing little things here and there but nothing stand out. When Nelson,Shane and Adam were in the basement, they had started in the large room. The echo effect was overwhelming. At one point Nelson had felt like someone had touched his neck several times. They went to the small room. They had ended up hearing footsteps from the hall and several disembodied voices in the same room. They also had a number of K-II hits that could not be explained. After going over the evidence, most of the audio was very hard to hear and had a loud humming in everyone's recorder due to the layout of the basement. Steve was able to pill out a couple of things and Nelson did as well. They are hard to hear but it all was telling us to go. The HI8 was able to capture a few things as well on audio. You might think the distant sounding audio is coming from outside. Not the case at all. There were emergency vehicles that drove right over the basement with sirens blasting. None of it was heard and none of that was caught on any audio. There is something roaming around the place and we are under the impression, whoever it is just want's to be left alone. JV's has one of the best menu's in town with everything you can imagine on it. The owners and staff are great people. This is another Waterloo Illinois location that must be visited.
