Chaltilion-DeMenil Mansion
We were invited to do an investigation at this historic location. The DeMenil actually sits right down the street from the Lemp Mansion. The Demenil was here first and has quite a bit more history than its neighbor. In fact, the Lemps were renters of theirs. But you can check into that through their web site or a tour. This was a location that had some claims that we were informed of by the staff. We wont clue you in on those. You have to take the tour to get that information. We will let you know what we ran into. We took a tour of our own so we could get an idea of how and where we would set up. We were only there about an hour. When we left Shane and Nelson felt completely drained and Adam was having some chest pains. When it was time we set up and started with Steve and Rob in the basement and Nelson, Adam and Shane in the attic. The layout of the attic was easy to go through and they had a few strange items up there. They have a Death Basket and a Casket. The death basket was actually used. During setup Nelson had placed one of the HI8's close to the death basket and felt something rub his forearm. In the center room in the attic Shane got touched right away and so for the rest of the night he said it felt like fleas were all over him. Close to the same time Adam had a strange feeling of mass confusion and extreme fear at the same time. They all heard footsteps in the hallway and Nelson saw a shadow block out the light on the HI8. But it did not show up on the video. As they started to leave that part of the attic, Adam felt like someone grabbed his head and squeeze tightly. Directly after that, Shane felt like someone bumped into him. Steve and Rob in the basement had a few sounds that stumped them.They went to the first floor and the sounds continued. We called it a night. As we were packing up, the phone kept ringing. Every time it was answered , the caller would hang up. Finally it was determined that the caller was a child. One of the things that happened in the house in the past was a child named Willie was scalded with hot water. We had been asking to talk to Willie all night. We had enough personal experiences and enough evidence to go ahead and do an event.
